I do that all the time! I buy old, but salvageable, furniture from thrift shops, garage sales and used furniture shops and restore them to my liking. I've saved so much money over the years, its insane :)

Love the chair. A vibrant coloured chair really can set off an otherwise dull spot in the garden.
